John "Mike" Thomas Wolf was credited with shooting down at least seven enemy aircraft during World War II. The flying ace — a designation only given to those pilots who've successfully shot down five or more aircraft in combat — was a part of the VF-2 squadron flying the Grumman F6F Hellcat aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hornet. On top of having shot down seven Japanese planes, he's also credited with two other "probables," the Navy says. John T "Mike" Wolf has hand signed this WWII B&W Vintage 8x10 Photo with USNR VF-2 Inscription. JSA Authentication #AC92830 and JSA Certificate of Authenticity.
