Vito "Babe" Parilli was a pro football quarterback and coach who played for 18 seasons. Parilli played five seasons in the NFL, 10 in the AFL, and three in the CFL. He played college football for the Kentucky Wildcats, twice receiving consensus All-American honors and winning two consecutive bowl games. He achieved his greatest professional success in the AFL as the starting quarterback of the Boston Patriots. He earned three All-Star Game selections, while leading the Patriots to their only AFL championship game appearance in 1963. He was inducted to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1982.
