Austin Riley is a pro baseball third baseman for the Atlanta Braves of MLB. The Braves selected him in the first round of the 2015 MLB draft. He would soon emerge as a star, winning a Silver Slugger Award in 2021, as well as that year's World Series. Since 2022, Riley has made two All-Star appearances, two All-MLB First Team appearances, and won two Silver Sluggers. Austin Riley is called "Ocho" (Spanish for "eight") because his Braves teammates started calling him that after he was frequently pinch-hit for or replaced defensively in the eighth inning, making it a funny inside joke that stuck.
