Cal Ripken Jr. is one of the greatest players to ever play the game. He played 21 seasons for the Orioles. A two-time American League Most Valuable Player, he revolutionized the shortstop position and proved to be the most durable everyday player in baseball history. He retired having played in 3001 games (8th all-time), 3,184 hits (13th all-time), 431 career homers (30th all-time) and held or shared 11 Major League or American League fielding records.
